April 14, 2009This movie didn't do well, at the box office, but I really enjoyed it. It is an engaging story line. The songs performed by Bette Midler are great. It isn't Oscar material, quite good, just the same.

June 7, 2008I finally saw it, and it was fantastic! Bette Midler has pipes, and her character was such a spit fire! I do not consider this a "lumpy attempt" at creating anything. Love it for what it is. The soundtrack is to die for too.
