The sacrifices, timed to coincide with cosmic emanations from the black hole in which the god has been imprisoned, turn several occupants of a remote mountain cabin (sound familiar?) into demonic ghouls. Gory mayhem ensues as the two survivors fend off the zombie attacks, leading to a somewhat insolvent conclusion in which it may be difficult to tell who wins. Though basically pointless, this film nevertheless boasts some effective scares, excellent makeup effects, and a fairly detailed exploration of the H.P.
