Every teenager's nightmare! haha! It's worth-watching for entertainment purposes, and Curtis was definitely awesome! It's one of those mother-daughter flicks again - urgh.... Meant for teenagers and for a quick laugh on a boring Saturday night. I would see it again, but I'm not b...( read more)uying the DVD, hehe. Hey i liked the soundtrack, that has to count right?

Every teenager's nightmare is turning into her mother. Dr. Tess Coleman and her 15-year-old daughter, Anna, aren't getting along over tastes and preferences on clothes, hair, music and certainly not in each other's taste in men until their disagreements peaked when they are given...( read more) two identical magic fortune cookies. By Friday morning, they discover they aren't themselves. Tess is hopeless in guitar and algebra while Anna is inept in psychology. Meanwhile, the good-looking Jake accidentally seduces Tess's body when he was actually falling for Anna. As they learn to respect each other they are looking for ways to switch back their bodies back fast.

Directed by Mark Waters, Freaky Friday features the finest acting performances from the following cast:
    1.) Lindsay Lohan (Anna Coleman)
2.) Jamie Lee Curtis (Tess Coleman)
    3.) Mark Harmon (Ryan)
    4.) Harold Gould (Grandpa)
    5.) Ryan Malgarini (Harry Coleman)
    6.) Chad Michael Murray (Jake)
    7.) Stephen Tobolowsky (Mr. Bates)
    8.) Christina Vidal (Maddie)

Though I watched Freaky Friday a number of times since its 2003 release, I recently have skimmed the pages of the original Mary Rodgers novel and watched the 1977 original film with Jodie Foster (and I can say that this is really a good remake). I'm surprised that many critics loved Freaky Friday through favorable reviews - thus going down in history as, right next to Mean Girls on the top, my second favorite film from Lindsay Lohan. Which, of course, reminds me of the fact that Lindz was so amazing here - she was like a real drama queen when she conflicts with her onscreen mom and a rock star when she performs on her electric guitar. With some comedic and romantic moments that excited me, Freaky Friday is a great family-friendly chick flick that shows a weird but good example of role-playing each other's personalities, especially when the duo are doing it once the eve of the mom's wedding day.

  • September 6, 2009
I did not expect to find the premise of this movie very believable! Well, of course it isn't. But, that did not prevent it from being thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding! the actors all played their own roles in a very believable fashion. The song Ultimate, which is played at Jam...( read more)ie Lee Curtis's wedding to her fiancé, has a different lyrical line in it.
