Anthony Michael Hall, Connor Widdows, Eddie Kaye Thomas

MTV's maniacal prankster, Tom Green, takes his surreal nonsense to the movies in Freddy Got Fingered. Playing a Portland, Oregon, goofball who dreams of becoming an animator, Green barely stitc...( read more  read more... )hes together a rudimentary plot, but he does pile on the kind of agonizing nonsense that is his stock-in-trade: chewing through an umbilical cord, licking somebody's compound fracture, and presenting a sausage-and-keyboard contraption that surely would have delighted early-20th-century Dadaists. Predictably, Green loses something in the transition from television's freeform, microscopic glare to the more formal demands of cinema, and the result isn't pretty. The trouble is, this stuff is largely unsuitable for the broad scope of a movie and, in contrast to the guerrilla tactics of Green's TV show, is prefabricated for the lumbering process of filmmaking. That, in turn, diminishes the effectiveness of Green's grenade-throwing humor and makes Freddy Got Fingered something of a desperate experience. --Tom Keogh

This movie should technically be around 1 to 1 1/2 stars but damn this movie is crazy. I watched it all the time in middle school and early high school of all the random places I could have watched it. This movie is so ridiculous that it appeals to that level of humor. Most pe...( read more)ople would consider this movie as sick and out of its mind, but because it is so out there and basically makes no sense, has no purpose, it therefore is amusing. The "Daddy would like some sausage" scene is probably one of the funniest scenes ever.

as stupid and pointless as this movie is...it's hilarious.

    Waaay too gross!
I liked the song he was singing with a keyboard and sausages on strings - but the rest was just gross. The premise is trouble alone. The horsie scene and the dead deer scene were a bit shocking. Rip Torn was good as the alleged-abusive father.

Disgustingly sick, but missing the comedy. I should laugh, and when the boy gets hit in the face with a ball I did. Balls and body parts are hilarious. Which is why Dodgeball is such as great film. Anyway yeah, Tom Green is just too irritating, and lowers the tone in scenes such ...( read more)as Elephant masturbation.

One of my favourites. I have seen this about 20 times now, and I still laugh. Packed full of rememberable moments like the Backwards man, Daddy would you like some sausage, and Look Daddy I found a treasure. Random, disgusting, and totally entertaining.

Out of place and released at a horribly wrong time. The humor, although hilarious, goes way beyond bizarre and the plot (as well as the dialogue) is incredibly bad and stupid.

You can see Green sweating for effect, ratcheting up the cruel jokes just to keep his street cred as a comic provocateur. full review
