It is a poignant snapshot of the way we live today, where the safe divisions that class and money have created are eroding under the unstoppable force of everyday life. This chick flick is telling the story of a single woman in her late 30s (Aniston) amidst a circle of rich, married couple friends. The message of the film soon becomes clear, once we get a closer look at the problems everyone's facing: money doesn't buy happiness. We get it. The ...( read more)situations and dialogues this is shown through are more or less amusing and the acting ensemble consists of great names. Still, it feels as if something's missing, despite of the amusing end surprise for Aniston's character. I just didn't know how to feel about the movie once it ended. Hence the mediocre rating.

There is a simple way to describe Friends with Money, think about Sex and The City minus the shallow characters, shallow dialogue and shameless advertising and you have to very touching and insightful Friends With Money.
This is one of the movies that guys should watch just to u...( read more)nderstand female relationships. Thanks to the wonderful lead actresses in particular Frances McDormand and Jennifer Aniston (Prove after The Good Girl that she can still act). It's not perfect, the male cast really has nothing to do here (Then again they don't have to), it is slow at time and the ending doesn't really fit into the film. However just for director/writer Nicole Holofcener way with talented actresses Friends With Money is worth saying.

I guess this is an OK movie. It examines the relationships of four friends - women who are in their 40's and managing their relationships with various levels of success.

This is a lovely chick flick for a rainy day. It's funny, uplifting and the guy who all gay men and everyone else think is gay but who isn't is really sweet. Jennifer Aniston plays a good role but I feel she plays it a bit one dimensional - there's no depth to it. Overall thou...( read more)gh a good movie that I'd watch more than once.

Another movie which is too boring to watch.. After watching it for 10 minutes I turned it off. Too bad, because the cast is very good.
