According to R. Crumb (Fritz creator), he loathes this movie for its unfaithfulness to his comics. I think it's a great achievement for Bakshi, and proves that there is always art too risque to transfer to screen, even when you already plan on a smaller and specific audience. Als...( read more)

It was the first X rated animated film I saw at age 16, continuing the 60s tradition of 'free-love, weed-smoking hippies', full of righteous protest over civil rights and the Vietnam War. Seeing it again 27 years later, it is a little dated and drags in spots, but still enjoyable...( read more)

Very cute. Hard to believe it was so controversial because of the sex and drug content when the violent, twisted 'Ren And Stimpy' was marketed directly to children.

One thing I did admire about the film was the satire, but it really won't be much to people today. It's interesting to watch, but overall it just hasn't aged all that well.
