Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"Even the heroes' daring on behalf of justice has an ugly, raw blankness that Dwan films with a nerve-jangling clatter of graphic angles, leaving the fleeting moments of solitary contemplation all the more desolate."
‑ Richard Brody, New Yorker
"Weak Western occasionally shows Dwan's visual style."
‑ Michael E. Grost, Classic Film and Television
"The first sound film helmed by Allan Dwan."
‑ Dennis Schwartz, Ozus' World Movie Reviews
