A cheeseball that sometimes manages to be more insightfull and funny than most would think it is. Still, not the best from Miike, worth for a very fun performance by Tomorowo Taguchi as the crazy scientist.

What if Robocop were a weird Japanese exploitation flick? Miike answers that question and more in this great low budget shocker with moments of extreme violence, hilarious comedy and fairly decent characters.

Fascinating, but somewhat uneven. Great idea!

Plays like a hyperviolent slapstick Japanese version of Robocop and Frankenstein. I enjoyed it.

This is an interesting movie, to say the least. Wimpy yakuza wannabe is caught in the middle of an assassination and is turned into an uber-killer/robot by a mad scientist. That chic was intense. There's not a lot of positive things to say about this film; however, it wasn't without some entertainment. The only thing I'm confused about is the 'huge, circumcised dick' story line. I'm not sure why that is even in this film, but it did add some humor to an otherwise weak film.

Only the Japanese would think a criminal cyborg would be a fun thing to watch. Losers.

avoid at all costs. unless you know Miike's work and know what you're getting into. even if you do, this is ultra-low-budget and seems intentionally bad because they knew they couldn't make it good. i haven't seen too many movies i hated more than this. couldn't even enjoy it...( read more) on a so-bad-it's-good level.
