Critic Reviews

  • Mark Bourne, DVDJournal.com

Faithful hardcore genre fans will find much to like here among the cloaks and daggers.... On the other hand, the pacing is slow and the twisty, sometimes flabby script might be frustrating for a viewer not fully engaged with such skullduggery.

  • Mark Bourne, DVDJournal.com

Paramount's DVD release of Funeral in Berlin delivers a startlingly clear and vivid print in 2.35:1 (anamorphic). The audio is an okay but disappontingly low-fi Dolby Digital 2.0 monaural.

  • Tony Medley, tonymedley.com

    disjointed and disappointing

  • Ken Hanke, Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC)

Second and least successful entry in the Harry Palmer series has its moments.

This second in Michael Caine's series of three "Harry Palmer" films is very good spy movie. Caine can do no wrong; his brittle performance and the authentic footage of the Berlin Wall add considerably to the film's bleak tone.
