Nigerian filmmaker Moustapha Alassane directed this satiric comedy-drama in which traditional and modern lifestyles clash in one household. Ali is a young man whose carefree life reflects the influences of the West, but when he returns home from attending a football game with his friends he's in for a surprise -- his parents have arranged for him to marry a woman named Haoua, and not long after meeting her they're wed. Haoua is a young woman from a rural community who has been raised to be an obedient and traditional wife, but Ali doesn't care for her and she has a hard time… More
