this' a great garage days
great plot and the cinematography is fantastic! wonderful soundtrack too! locw the melly/meloni melon!! hey! any movie with drugs and music will make my day!
awesome movie! Very fun and enjoyable! You grow to like the characters in the movie the longer you watch. Some scenes could have very easily moved over to cheesy but the choice of awesome music made it just right. The direction of the film is also very stylish and almost in the v...( read more)
I stumbled upon this film on IFC when I was bored, looking for a movie. I missed about 15 minutes of it but what kept me on the channel was the song. I think the soundtrack is the best thing about this movie. Besides having a few laughs in between.
The movie is about a band that ...( read more)
This movie is the definition of great independent american cinema. It's insane, fun, and one of the most well-directed music/band-related films. Great, non-simple performances and, generally, a must-see.
Great soundtrack! this movie is worth it if only for the dance number over the credits.
Entertaining Aussie movie with a funny punchline at the end. Alex Proyas went on to direct I, Robot. Some great performance here espcially from Russell Dykstra as the group's manager.
Fun, stylish, Aussie flick about about the long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll. Great eclectic cast and very clever direction.
Not a bad little Aussie comedy for those who don't mind a bit of a rambling tale. The laughs are fairly scarce, but any of the scenes involving drug use are pretty hilarious. It tends to become more of a soap opera for much of the middle and the ending is a bit clunky, but the yo...( read more)
AHHHH THIS FILM IS FUCKIN AWFUL!
BUT, I do have fond memories associated with this film. The only reason i'm giving it 1 and half stars is because of 3 seconds of this film. (the laughing at the opera house part - that's genius)
I loved this movie.. and i only got to see only parts of it. i wish i could have seen the entire thing but what i did see was amazing.
This was cool. Loved the drug stuff and the sex. Couldn't care less about the drama though. lol
Briliant i've found the movie jus fantastic, it has enouge jokes in to keep you laughing
"I don't know about this film.. but really not my cup of tea.. this film seems to annoy me something deep.. and it's overtly long for such a simple story.
Sex drugs and rock n roll Aussie style. I wanna be part of this. Believable characters and a lighthearted trip to stardom with the band. Do they make it?? Watch and see.
Kick Gurry is such a hottie and its funny to c him sit on a quick unpick!
One of those movies that just make you want to pick up a guitar and start a band and be something in the music industry.
Filling the uncomfortable gap between Wayne's World and Trainspotting is this rather complex though slightly limp offering from I, Robot director Alex Proyas. Australian film makers seem to have an obsession with aspiring bands and their struggle to rise to fame. This is, however...( read more)
I enjoyed this flick, I thought it was kinda sad and Alex Proyas directed it, so it can't be bad.
A fantastic Aussie film. My favorite part was when they were on drugs and the parents heads turned into snakes. A great rock n roll film.
Spectacular Aussie comedy on sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. Pia Miranda's cool in her 'angry management' performance.
I love Garage days, but I think the one scene of Melly the Melon saying "Papa" cracks me up something shocking.
A mature film, with plenty of drama, the film constantly surged forward while still giving a few good laughs and great moments. Clever film techniques used the whole time.
i found this one really funny. the principal from home and away is in it and he is a druggie haha
