As an eight-year-old girl, Leslie was abducted through trickery by an older man Alex, and his young accomplice Frank. Leslie was held captive in their house along with an eight-year-old boy named Donnie, who believed his mentally unstable mother sold him to Alex. The children create a bond with each other, managing to escape into a fantasy world they create in their bedroom. Years later Leslie and Donnie, now seventeen years old, are living as street-kids and struggling to cope with what they suffered through, having been affected by the experience differently. Donnie's feelings for Leslie are those of any teenager in love, however, Leslie's perception of love has been severely mutated through her relationship with Alex and her instinct is to run from Donnie. Can she not only survive this horrific experience, but be set free from its terrible shackles?

Abducted by two pedophiles at the age of 8, Leslie is led into a life of prostitution, drug addiction and self destruction. If you have children, and even if you don't, this is a hard watch. Gardens of the Night is a good film about some very, very bad stuff.

It's the movies that leave the biggest impressions with me that I always have a hard time reviewing because there's so much I want to say that I don't know what to say. This was the most disturbing movie and probably the hardest one to watch that I have ever seen. Yet, it was a...( read more) great portrayal of how these monsters are "super nice" with kids and how they lure them into their world. I also thought the film did a really good job showing the kids being older and how their childhood events molded who they became. Amazing film.

Truly an intense movie. At times it is difficult to watch, and yet it grabs & holds you. Makes you want to go grab & hug your kids & feel grateful they are not out on the streets alone & desolate.

This is a very touching movie. Parents will get chills in the first 5 minutes. This is a very realistic tale of the underground child abuse ring.
