The gargoyles are put under a spell, and they remain in stone form for one thousand years. When they wake up they find that their castle has been moved atop a skyscraper in New York city, thanks to billionaire Xanatos. He wants their help, but the gargoyles are leary of treachery. Meanwhile Goliath forms a friendship with Elisa Maza, a police detective who is investigating Xanatos.

    This was a Disney after-school TV series, but the first few (to-be-continued) episodes were edited together to make this feature length video. It's not what you'd expect from a Disney cartoon- it's darker, more dramatic, a great mix of sci-fi and fantasy, with mythical and Shake...( read more)spearian characters, and many Star Trek actors providing voices. I stand by my 5-star rating for the story of these heroes!
