Known by fans as "Jose Jose," the singer came from a poor family and rose from rags to riches simply because of his talent. Although he fell in love with a wonderful woman, Anel (Cristian Bach) he succumbed to alcohol, drugs, and the pressures of too much success. As he went downhill, he married someone else, a mistake from the start. After nothing is left of his career and he is in the hospital fighting off a diseased liver, Anel comes back and their old flame re-ignites. The rest of the story is deservedly legendary.
