13 year old Alexandria "Lexi" Gold (Lindsay Lohan) gets the scoop in her school newspaper's gossip column to get along with her working-class-family friend Jack (Bug Hall) to solve the mystery behind the disappearance of a teacher; Mr. Walker (Ian Gomez).
As Lexy Gold would like to quote, "Get A Clue", and hence the title of this original Disney Channel movie. When Mr. Walker goes mysteriously missing, Lexy and her friends must solve the crime case that would eventually save their favorite teacher's life. Not only that I'm amazed of the film's featured espionage, I'm also surprised that it takes place in Manhattan, and the kids are rich and are into the latest fashions. What's more, Lexy is a gossip columnist for the school paper! "Get A Clue", to me, looks like a junior high version of "Gossip Girl", though the latter came out on TV exactly five years after the former's 2002 release.
The acting performances in "Get A Clue" are good. Playing her Lexy lead role is Lindsay Lohan, still fresh from her cute and clean 1998 "The Parent Trap" appearance, was still a child/teen star; she would later make another theatrical film role in 2003's "Freaky Friday". Other roles featured in the film include Bug Hall as Jack, Brenda Song as Jen, and Ali Mukkaddam as that camcorder-holding Gabe. Ian Gomez also appears as the kids' teacher Mr. Walker.
"Get A Clue" is some sort of a spy movie that got in my viewing interest. I'm glad I saw this film and liked it. Four stars!
I watched this movie for the cool fashions when I was younger. I saw a bit of it the other day and I wasn't as "excited" about it, but It was still cool.
I like this movie, its actually pretty good, but its not FANTASTIC or anything like that!! I used to like Lindsay but now she's changed for the worst and I'm not so sure I like her anmore.
A Kinda odd sort of movies that you see now days, very interesting though, its also nice seeing Top stars such as brenda and lindsay so young, lol... it makes hard to believe how lindsay is spoiled..
Perfect for young kids and alrighty for adults i suppose..
This movie was cheesey I must say, but it wasnt horrible. Lohan b4 she went crazy was nice to watch, and Hall was great in it too. Just alright. Not a favorite Disney channel movie by any means
That movie was werid but good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved this as a little kiddie, partially because I had a crush on Lindsay but that's another story! Good plot, nice song in the credits, and alright actors.
Never liked it that much. I don't like it when people who are stuck up and rich play characters that are stuck up and rich. It's like it's too easy for them.
i gotta say that i actually liked this movie dispite having cast lindsey as the lead, she wasn't that bad in this. the plot was very different and the rest of the cast was pretty good. not bad.
This movie will make you watch it all the way through - BUT, watch out - this movie has many twists and turns and is very far from reality...Which may or may not leave you with a good feeling at the end.
Ahh, Lindsey: before the breasts took over her brain. Poor, poor child.
This is an awesome movie full of action, comedy, and even some suspense. I remember being surprised that Disney would do something so daring (it had talk of DEATH in it, for goodness sakes!), but I was glad they did. This really is a great film.
Interesting, but really weird. Defintally a bad Disney movie. Not as bad as 1 star or half a star, but not as good as 2 stars. So that's why I rated it the way I did.
Good, it's very different for Lindsay Lohan to be with in one of these type of movies so it was fun to see her play the character she played. But still not really my type of movie!
This movies quite cool in some places but due to the year it was made, the gadgets are a bit out dated. Its a mystery teenage style which is different because mysterys are solved by adults. Also it is not a action movie with a guy with a gun.
