One of the funniest music movies ever. It has as many, if not more, inside jokes/parodies for music fans as Spinal Tap.
About a character who parodies Bill Graham owning a theater that parodies the Fillmore, parodies of several musicians, a parody of a blues musician's funeral, ...( read more)a parody of The Grateful Dead, an appearance and great performance by Lee Ving, an acting debut (and I think the only acting performance) of John Densmore of The Doors, Lou Reed parodying Bob Dylan, a great soundtrack, scenes that any roadie can appreciate.
If you're a music nerd or a roadie I highly recommend this movie.

This movie's title is basically the plot.Set on new year's eve,a concert hall is going to be sold and demolished by a trump-like a-hole.So they decide to go out with a bang and have one last concert to end all concerts.A young Daniel Stern is the main character, filled with cameo...( read more)s and f-ing funny sight gags.one ongoing theme was every band plays a different rendition of the same song.(hootchie cootchie man)Malcolm McDowell steals the show as an aging rock star who's pretty much burned out. This movie is kind of hard to come by so if you ever get the chance check it out!! I think this was directed by the same guy who did Rock-n-Roll high school.

An absolute classic, the finest movie about music ever made, with a cracking theme song by Sparks to boot.
