Natalie (Academy Award nominee Ellen Page, Juno, the upcoming FOX release Whip It!), having lost her mother the year before, is ready to start a new life with her father in the country. ...( read more  read more... ) They come across a lovely cottage occupied by Mrs. Ashboro (Shirley Knight, Grandma’s Boy, Angel Eyes, As Good as it Gets) and her devoted cat, Margaret. Problem is, it’s not Mrs. Ashboro who wants to sell, it’s her devious nephew Boyd (Tom Barnett), who needs money and fast!

When Mrs. Ashboro dies suddenly, followed that same night by Margaret, Natalie and her father move in. But it’s not long before the phantom feline begins to make her otherworldly presence known. Turns out Mrs. Ashboro hid $50,000 in the house and only Margaret knows where. Natalie and her friends must rely on Margaret’s guidance to beat the bad guys and save the day.

    It was a cute movie - definately geared more towards kids or young teens. Probably not something I would watch again, but it was okay.
