A very average ghost story with the second half a little more sinister than the first. Quite a typical, predictable Horror in most senses, with the odd good moment thrown in. Not all bad, but certainly nothing special. A couple of slightly eerie moments towards the end, but no...( read more)

I really liked this one, though not as much as the classic Thai film, Nang Nak (not listed on Flixster). This one has a couple suprisingly gory kills and a interesting story involving the excellent Nang Nak ghost story. Recommended to those not sick of asian ghost stories.

I suppose as long as I find the spirits I've seen in several Asian horror films frightening (the pale face, long dark hair, black eyes and mouth), I will continue to watch the Asian horror films. That being said, Mae Nak was as scary as any of them. The story was not, by any me...( read more)

The premise was fine for a good ghost story, but the reality is not quite as promising.

It was a good movie. The couple was sickenly cute though. "Nak loves Mak." "Mak loves Nak." Puke-city! The ghos...( read more) -

A disappointing Tartan. Kinda funny when it shouldnt have been, uninteresting leads, tedious.

May 12, 2007This story tells of a village girl whose husband went to war at the time she's pregant. Her husband was badly injured and did not return for months. The poor girl died when she's giving birth, their baby did not survive either. The dead girl could not go away because she love her husband too much, and she blamed the villagers for her death. She began to kill the villagers and those who told her husband she is dead.
I actually pity Nang Nak for her plight, but thought she deserve punishment afterall, for killing too many people.
Great storyline.
