Going Back
After their high-school graduation in 1964, two buddies, Cleveland (Christopher Howe) and Brice (The Evil Dead's Bruce Campbell), leave their suburban homes in Michigan to spend a relaxing summer in the countryside. Over the course of their stay, the men become acquainted with a farmer, Jack Bodell (Perry Mallette); Cleveland looks to Jack as a kind of father, while Brice falls for Cindy, a girl who lives nearby. Four years later, Cleveland and Brice drive to Jack's farm with the hope of capturing the magic of that summer, but are greeted by sad news. ~ Iotis Erlewine, Rovi

Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"Filled with solid performances, gorgeous cinematography and realistic dialogue, it captures the same sad feeling of nostalgia watching it that the film's characters experience."
‑ Ryan Cracknell, Movie Views
"It's wrong and it's evil and it's not fair, but I have to be brutally honest: I laughed a lot while watching this tender, gentle coming-of-age movie. And it's all Bruce's fault."
‑ MaryAnn Johanson, Flick Filosopher
"Teachworth's tone is overly sentimental, but its unsophisticated manner sometimes works in the film's favor, and it contains some lovely shots for such a low-budget wonder."
‑ Jeffrey M. Anderson, Combustible Celluloid
