Rather standard police thriller asks tricky moral questions & boasts nice performances, but can't shake its artificiality. Ben Affleck makes a fine enough directorial debut, but this could've used the tough, realistic, unobtrusive touch of a Sidney Lumet.
Bravo Ben Affleck. Playing by the rules or letting it go? It's a life changing question.
