Master Wong Bing-Yi (Sammo Hung) is a talented chef who once ran the most celebrated restaurant in the city, until he was disgraced by an outbreak of food poisoning traced back to his cooking. However, Bing-Yi wasn't responsible for the mishap -- one of his rivals, the villainous Master Joe (Fan Siu-wong), tampered with the food, and now Bing-Yi is struggling to regain his good name. Bing-Yi takes a menial job at a restaurant named Sum's, and when the owners decide to take part in a prestigious culinary competition, Bing-Yi teams up with novice chef Lung Kin-Yat (Vanessa Wu) and an upstart cook (Timmy Hung) to show he hasn't lost his touch, though he has to break out his martial arts skills along the way.
