Angie Harmon, Barry Newman, Charlie Sheen

Fans of Denise Richards will delight in her skin-tight and belly-revealing outfits in Good Advice; fans of Charlie Sheen will enjoy his patented sleazeball-with-a-heart-of-gold performance. R...( read more  read more... )ichards is the author of a much-ignored advice column who's trying to drag her hotshot stockbroker boyfriend (Sheen) to the altar. When a phony tip ruins Sheen's career, Richards leaves for Brazil with the owner of a diamond mine. When the publisher of the newspaper that runs the advice column calls, Sheen grabs at the chance for a paycheck and writes for Richards. Unsurprisingly, masquerading as a woman saves his shallow male soul and his witty but insightful comments turn the column into a big hit. All seems to be going well until Richards suddenly returns and finds herself famous. Angie Harmon plays the publisher with whom--unsurprisingly--sparks fly. Jon Lovitz, Rosanna Arquette, and Estelle Harris provide helpful support. --Bret Fetzer

Pretty much a TV movie despite the T&A. You could see where Charlie was headed after this.

This was a cute movie starring bad boy Charlie Sheen and his now ex-wife Denise Richards. I liked the advice his character gave.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Okay, I saw this one day when I was recovering from some flu like thing, and I was LITERALLY (seriously) delirious - because of the fever I guess. To give you an idea, I burst into tears during an Energizer commercial, and my explanation to my kinda like wtf,...( read more) Katharine? but supportive friends, haha, was something to the effect of, "he just keeps going and going, everyone want's him to just keep going and going, what if the bunny wants to stop? HE CAN'T, because we force him forward with our expectations!" Yup.

Anyway, the point is, when I saw this monstrously horrible movie, I loved it, and cried every time Angie Harmon beat Denise Richards in winning Charlie Sheen's affection, thinking to myself, "go smart girl, go!"

Because of that wacky experience of mine, this movie actually has a special place in my heart.

What a trip. Literally, sorta, I guess... ha!

This movie is cute and fun...a great movie when you want mindless entertainment with a little more substance. "Why did you kiss me?" "I didn't...I tripped." "What, and fell onto my face?"

Since he can't get another job anywhere else, lies to the editor Page (Angie Harmon) and takes over the column imposting as Cindy. The column turns into a huge hit and Page's newspaper begins to sell more and more across the city. Ryan begins to develop feelings for Page, feelings which turn out to be mutual.

However, things didn't go so well for Cindy, and she comes back into town. Ryan and Page are caught in bed, and reveal everything to Cindy. However, Cindy blackmails them, and moves to Simpson's company. Ryan uses his brokerage skills to make huge money off the combination of Cindy and Simpson. Ryan and Page are engaged, and Ryan has since become a successful columnist in his own right. Nice movie for a relaxed sunday eveing with a few beers.
