the greatness lay in its simplicity. a story well told! jennifer jones sounding like she's been assimilated by the borg doesn't hinder it either!
a strict teacher who seems to be continually loved by ex-students, to the point that it's almost a national holiday when she goes in for an operation. how can anyone work or learn when miss dove's health is in the balance? pure 50s schmaltz.
