This film is based on completely true events- it is a brilliantly told tale of a woman, along with her male Red Brigades accomplises, carries out their plan of kidnapping Italy's Prime Minister Aldo Moro.
This subsequently leads to a struggle within the woman's own maorals as she comes to realise that Moro must be murdered.
Ok, maybe I'm being impartial, but I don't like movies where I have to read subtitles, I feel like I'm missing half of the movie. This is an ho-hum movie about a kidnapping. It's pretty creative and original but they could have done better with that plot
What makes ordinary middleclass kids become terrorists? How can the commit and live with their actions? What if someone in the group has doubts? This is a film about the italian terroristgroup that kidnapped and murdered Aldo Moro in the 70's. But the questions in the story applies to other terrorist cells even today. Very, very interseting! This is one of those films that makes you think, reflect and change you.
Good Morning, Night explores the kidnapping of Italian prime minister Aldo Moro in 1978 by the Red Brigade. The political climate is brought to life aptly and the time period looks and feels extremely authentic. However, the characters are never studied or given much history, nor are they explored as human beings. This stoicism evokes the cold and harsh reality of terrorism but brings little tension or passion to what must have been a provocative point in history.
