An atmospheric, nightmarish and trippy recount of the night when Byron, Shelley & co. gathered together to tell ghost stories. Wonderful music and awesome automatons!

Beautiful and haunting, artist license and imagination visually pushed to the extreme, Ken Russell is a splendid storyteller.

A story about Mary Shelley and her literary type friends on hallucinogens in an old gothic castle and the intellectual chaos that ensues. Her connection to the infamous tale of Frankenstein isn't the highlight of this movie, but is referenced to in the final moments.
