If the original Gremlins was a dark satire then Gremlins 2 takes the darkness out and becomes a sci-fi/fantasy Cannonball Run. The Gremlins are back, getting wet and eating after midnight. But instead of the great little B movie we get what amounts to a parody of the first film.

Gremlins 2 is well composed and has kept the lighter side of the gremlin series going in this brilliant sequel.Boasting talking gremlin.flying gremlins and bride gremlins it seems this film has much to offer as its laughs can leave yu in stitches the first time round and stil leaves you chuckling the 100th time you've watched it ... A brilliant sequal and its always good to see little gizmo get tough and kick his gremlin freinds who bully him around and teach them he is taking no more of their rubbish ..excelent family film keeps the laughs coming 5 stars

More gremlins, more money, right? No. Crappy movie. This tepid sequel loses every bit of the charm and dark satire present in the original. Cringe to the horror of a hapless human deciding he likes the she gremlin hooker. Ugh!

Contrary to the usual paradigm, I actually like this sequel somewhat better than the original. Maybe it's because this one is more like a parody of the first, meaning more fun, cooler gremlins and campy humor at its best.

The Gremlins is Funny to begin with but when you make it an office building where no one can escape that is perfect. There isn't as much how you would say violence... but I saw this two years ago so don't quote me on that.

Billy's father Randy Peltzer (Hoyt Axton) had acquired Gizmo (Howie Mandel). Billy (Zach Galligan) was informed of the "rules" regarding on Gizmo: 1) keep away from any bright light [sunlight], 2) never get them wet, 3) never feed them after midnight. Gizmo was exposed from water fountain to multiplied a new 1s ate after midnight to morphed into dark green reptilian monsters with sharp teeth & claws called Gremlins.

Billy Peltzer & Kate Beringer (Phoebe Cates) live in New York City from their hometown; Kingston Falls. Billy works for Clamp Enterprises & his girlfriend named Kate works as a tour guide where they work @ automated skyscraper in Manhattan. Gizmo manages to free to make a bow & a flaming arrow to use as a weapon. Mr. Futterman (Dick Miller) enters to rescue Billy. They seek to find Kate & Marla (Haviland Morris) while Gizmo kills Mohawk. Billy & his friends turn a waterhose on Gremlins & releases the electric gremlin hits gremlins by the electricity to melt them away.

Justwatched this again the other night. The part with Hulk hogan telling the Gremlins to restart the movie makes this movie lose two stars right off the bat

A perfect follow up to the original. I actually like this one more then the first, I don't know if its because I saw it more when I was a kid or if I just love all of the crazy different types of Gremlins in it or not. Either wait 17 years later I'm still waiting for Gremlins 3. They can call it "The Next Batch" and for gods sakes Gizmo HAS to become a gremlin in that one!

Now, this time round, the writers got it right and let their imaginations run riot. Setting it up as a comedy from the start and even poking fun at "the rules" ensures that this film never slows down. The Progress Vs Tradition spiel sits neatly alongside the plot but it's the Gremlins themselves who are finally let loose and they make the most of it. The various "spliced" Gremlins are wonderful and even the 4D element works well in this madcap, crazy, horror-comedy sequel.

One of my favorite sequels ever! Joe Dante is a genius. He intentionally parodies the first Gremlins and sequels in general. This film is terrific, and it has probably the greatest cameo ever in Hulk Hogan!

Steven Spielberg no quería hacer una secuela, pero los estudios lo presionaron tanto que hizo esta como burla de la primera. Sólo viéndola así se puede disfrutar.

I like this one better than the first. Campier, funnier, better fx, improved creature designs, and I really like the claustrophobic feeling created by the suspense inside this gigantic skyscraper. Also, the funniest bit is that a "Grampa Dracula" character is a newscaster inside the building interviewing the Gremlins and reporting to the outside world.

Entertaining and not nearly as scary but has some moments of horror. Watch together with the first gremlins film and you have killed some boredom.

A better sequel. Some very funny moments in this. Love the singing. And Mowgli doing his Rambo impression is ace.

I just saw Gremlins: The New Batch for the first time ever. I've seen the first one a few times but never the 2nd one. I admit this isn't as good as the first one. My biggest complaint of the 2nd movie is they hardly showed Gizmo at all. I loved Gizmo in the first movie and they should have showed him a little bit more. The acting and plot wasn't as good as the first movie either but what was great about the sequel was to hear Angel of Death by Slayer and to see Jerry Goldsmith play a cameo in the movie along with the Looney Tunes and Hulk Hogan. Overall I enjoyed the move but it wasn't the greatest.

Even worst than the first one. They just overdid it and it turned out wackier and a lot more gross. Don't bother to watch this.

Not as good as the first, but entertaining nonetheless. The problem is that it goes a little too far, so the simple yet clever atmosphere which made the previous Gremlins so good is lost.
Enjoyable, the "New York New York" song scene is sweet.

I actually liked this one better than the first. I think because it was cuter and not as dark. John Glover is so good and will stretch his acting chops more than 10 years later in Smallville. Overall, a fun flick.
