I like Death proof the best there was a good ending and lots of action in the car chase.

the only thing that made this film worth watching was the hotties in it and the car crash scene, apart from that.....YAWWWWNNNNNN!!!!, but planet terror on the other hand, that was the dogs nutz, lots of action, lots of gore, a cool old skool storyline that reminded me of b-flicks of that era and it was pretty humourous in places. A big thumbs up.

I wish they werent spliting Grindhouse for the Australia release. I want to see grindhouse the way it was intended. Screw the reviews and box office opening statistics. Why should we not get to see Grindhouse in all its Glory just because it didnt do as well as expected. First they push back the release date, and now they are spliting them up! I only hope that when the DVD comes we will have the option then to see "Grindhouse"! not "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof".

Just one question: if they're splitting this in two for DVD release (which I hope they don't) then what happens to those priceless fake trailers? They were one of the best things about seeing the film(s), and I'm going to be mad if I don't get those. >:(

Yeah, they're splitting them up to try to get a larger profit.

In North America, the film didn't do very well as a whole. In its opening weekend, it ended up being third or fourth at the Box Office, which was pretty surprising. So, they're splitting them up overseas to see if people were turned off of going to see it because of how long it was as a double-feature. In general, they're just hoping to make more money, as I mentioned above.

I'd be pissed if I was you, though. Splitting them up ruins the experience. It's bullshit.

Why the fuck is this not in Ireland yet and why are they splitting the films. Is it to make more money? The films will do alot better in Europe than in the states...

When it comes to "Grindhouse", a lot of people claim a favoritism towards one or the other "feature" in the film. In my honest opinion, I feel that Rodriguez and Tarantino both made movies the way they wanted to. They were trying to recreate the cinema they grew up with, a cinema that has long since become extinct in our post-modern society. There are no grindhouses left in society and there are are barely any functional drive-ins left. This experiment in retro film is both Rodriguez and Taratino's way of preserving the tradition of hardcore, no holds bar grittiness that lacks in most films now. And in my opinion, they succeeded. It doesn't matter if "Death Proof" or "Planet Terror" sucked. It doesn't matter that this film failed at the box office. They succeeded in their goal. And I am damn proud to have been able to see this film in the theaters. And the film kept it's promise from the trailer, "Two adrenaline fueled rollercoasters, one ticket to ride." And it was.

Grindhouse gave me a a reason to get up and go see movies again..... All these sequals and remakes turned me into a drunken bufoon......spending money on beer instead of movie tickets.............
thank you Robert Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino....

An absolute gem. A must for all Tarantino/Rodriguez fans. Full gore fest all the way and with a comic element second to none. Reminds of me of how films used to be. 10 out of 10.

Did enjoy Planet Terror over Death Proof but Cherry Darling played by Rose McGowen is this bad sexy chick with a machine gun for a leg & becomes the highlight of this film.

Unfortunately LOTS of people dont get what this film is about. I heard people complaining for the bad sound and the cheesy effects but they dont know it was on puporse. Thats kinda sad, dont bash something if you dont know what you are talking about.

This is the ultimate "guy movie"!!! It won't win any oscars, but it wasn't designed to. I also wouldn't recommend this as a date movie, unless the girl you take is into guy movies, lol! I enjoyed all 3 hours, including the hilarious fake trailers! Grindhouse is full of cheesy gore, action, explosions, dark humor, and everything in-between, just as it was meant to be. It has as much plot, drama, and makes as much sense as any b movie, so be warned. I can't wait for the dvd!

This looks amazing, sadly it isn't doing too well and is probably getting pulled soon, or being split apart. Catch it in it's true form while you can...

I have to admit that Death Proof had a lot of Dialouge...but i personallly like the style of death proof rather than planet terror. Overall the movie was awome and id watch it a million times and NEVER get bored. I especailly liked the mini fake previews between the movies. A lot of people think that this was'nt Q.T's best movie and i have to agree and disgree-though the dalouge was a bit much, Death Proof was different from all of his other movies. I liked Planet Terror too...but you just can beat those bad ass car chase scene's in Death Proof!!!!

Some people critisize this movie, those are the people who have never seen an actual grindhouse movie! Both movies in this feature perfectly achieve what they aim for, and that is to recreate the grindhouse experience. Before seeing it you should actually SEE some old exploitation movies, like some 70's italian horror flicks. It's stupid to call it 'pointless' because the point of the movie is to shock and entertain, which it certainly does. So not for all tastes, especially those who have never seen a 'grindhouse' movie.

Tarantino Failed me again(referring to Hostel)I know Tarantino movies are loaded with dialogue, even a lot of it being pointless...nothing more than character development, but this dialogue did nothing for the characters. the first 4 girls were built up FOR EV ER. These girls pretty much needed to be in one scene of the movie (their death scene) And the other 3 girls were SO stupid, the entire time Zoe was on the hood I was so frustrated that they did not slow down and let her in the car..or that she did not jump in the car one of the 30 times Stuntman Mike was spun out. and then Mike turning into such a wuss...he was in a DEATH PROOF car...just crash into them! And before you say I just don't like tough or kick ass female characters...I love kill bill...the bride was smart...I love female comic book characters, most more than males. but these girls were just stupid and annoying and needed to die. at least there could have been a grand crash scene killing all the characters. THE END

I absolutely loved Grindhouse... both movies. I can see why some are disappointed with Tarantino because it went from Rodriguez's non-stop action flick to having a lot more dialogue (that some call pointless). Though it was a bit slower I thought Death Proof was awesome. The combination of both styles of movies was awesome. I definitely would recommend it to anyone and everyone!
