Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"In their low-budget, indie-film way, the Kornbluth brothers have come up with a modest, modern-day equivalent of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."
‑ Steven Rosen, Denver Post
"Josh becomes increasingly distraught and depressed, but not nearly as much as the poor people watching the movie."
‑ Desson Thomson, Washington Post
"Not badly done, but overshadowed by the superior (and better funded) Office Space"
‑ Pete Vonder Haar, Film Threat
"A sort of stylized, abstract companion piece to Mike Judge's very hilarious Office Space -- a warm, witty and original comedy."
‑ Brent Simon, Entertainment Today
"ultimately just a little too ingratiating."
‑ Walter Chaw, Film Freak Central
"Kornbluth is funny, but not funny enough to carry his feature comedy."
‑ Chris Vognar, Dallas Morning News
"As 'Josh's' story wears on, so does one's patience."
‑ Carrie Rickey, Philadelphia Inquirer
"A bit of an ego-trip, but an entertaining one."
‑ Luke Y. Thompson, New Times
"There's just not enough of a story for this to be a feature film."
‑ Dennis Schwartz, Ozus' World Movie Reviews
"It starts off disarming and charming but grows tedious in its fastidious attention to meaningless details."
‑ Joe Baltake, Sacramento Bee
"A low-budget, mild-mannered comedy, often amusing and at times laugh-out-loud funny."
‑ Louis B. Parks, Houston Chronicle
"Kornbluth, with his softly discombobulated rage, makes you want to see more of him."
‑ Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly
"No Japanese poetry or actual tunnels were used in the making of this film, [just] some pretty clever writing and directing"
‑ Brian Mckay, eFilmCritic.com
"There are far too many stretches where Josh is simply carried away with being Josh, and we are not particularly amused."
‑ Shirley Sealy, Film Journal International
"Affords an agreeable -- if slight and brief -- chuckle at disagreeable aspects of our modern lives."
‑ Shawn Levy, Oregonian
