author moves to a small welsh island to write a new novel after the death of her son. a worthy supernatural thriller with demi moore on top form. this is one to watch.
Not too bad of a movie but it felt a bit like a TV movie. It was nice to see Demi Moore back on the screne and doing some acting as oppose to getting her kit off. Worth a watch on a Sunday night
Very interesting story here. It does remind me slightly of "What Lies Beneath". I love anything filmed in Scotland, and its people. And I love lighthouses. I did enjoy this, but I was really expecting to see the ghost of Angus! The idea of falling in love with a ghost in Scotland...is beautiful. There is no way that I would ever move back to London. Vaguely I think of the Scottish-Gaelic lament "Ailein Duinn" and "The Lighthouse's Tale" folk song.
A historia cliche acaba se prejudicando pela crise de personalidade da trama, que nao se decide entre drama, romance e suspense. Apesar da presença de Demi Moore, o filme é bobo demais para se levar a serio.
I loved the big twist which happened near the ending but most of the movie remains a mystery. The sad thing is that there were many cheap thrills, gets rather plain after a while.
It took me a while to work it out, but it's pretty well done and well written. Demi Moore could act better but the best acting comes from the supports.
Demi Moore tries her best but she can't save this boring, overlong and clichéd horror/mystery. The direction and the script are both pretty lazy and the supporting cast are all equally dull.
Its hard to follow and understand, its watchable but dont put yourself out to watch it, if you are stuck for things to do the rent it but dont bother buying it
actually an awesome movie about a woman (demi moore) would decides to rent a lighthouse, and find out there is more to the place that there beats the eyes and that not just the memories of her son, does she have to worry about.
This was ok. Demi Moore is a Fantastic actress and she really brings it to the table as you would expect.
The majority of the movie takes place on Scotland's Coast and offers some wonderfully beautiful scenes. Some scenes were CGI which I found a wee bit distracting.
The story itself was interesting enough and leads you to think the poor woman had gone completely mad, but then you get to the ending and it seems a little farfetched. Just a little...I would have preferred a different ending.
Great movie, lots of twists and turns, not so much scarey but does give you a chill now and again!
Glad I watched it and the views of the Scottish coastline just make you want to move there.
keeps you guessing but this is more confusing than intriguing or intellectual because it does not grip the audience emotionally, demi moore isnt at her best and your left with a piece that is easy to switch off when watching yet you cannot afford to due to intricate plot details in the muddled narrative resulting in strained viewership. There is worse out there but this is a bit of a mess
A rare treat for a thriller film. Half Light is a top notch thrill ride full of twists, turns and breathtaking suspense. Demi Moore shines in this tale about love, family and the power of belief. The scenery of Scotland adds to the overall beauty and isolation of her characters' situation. Stunning!
A very decent, solid little movie. Though there isn't really nothing outstanding about it, it was a very enjoyable viewing experience.
Good acting, a good storyline, which gets off to a slow start but features some surprises and twists in the latter half of the film that liven things up, and some quite creepy little moments also that send a few chills down the spine. But it's the stunning and beautiful locations that really steal the show.
