Why do the people in this stupid town even bother to celebrate Halloween anymore? I'd be booking myself a plane to the Bahamas!

Apart from a couple of good scenes, Danielle Harris's brilliant and believable acting and Mr Pleasence, this is a rubbish follow up that could have been so much better if they had just worked the story around the last scene in the previous film!

If you thought Halloween 4 was crap, wait until you see Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, a title so stupid it will make you light headed. Every movie is about his revenge. What's so special about this one? Other than being a piece of shit, I have no idea.

It's one year...( read more) since the events of Halloween 4 and after shooting Michael Myers into an abandoned mine the good people of Haddonfield are ready to go on with their lives. Halloween arrives and SURPRISE! Michael isn't dead because your idiotic Haddonfield police neglected to actually check the mine for a body, showing you how great a film this is going to be. Michael is after his niece Jamie (Danielle Harris) again, who is out of her freaking mind after stabbing her mother with scissors at the end of the previous installment. Her parents, showing their love and affection for their adopted daughter, decide that the best way for her to heal mentally is for her to be under the care of creepy, charbroiled Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence) because he is obviously a great children's psychiatric doctor.

So the film goes through the entire chop-chop, OH! there's a cat bullshit for two hours with Johnny Cash walking around town, chain smoking and looking at murder scenes. There's some kind of psychic link and tattoos... hell, forget it.

Halloween 5 is a turd. Donald Pleasence may have made the last installment tolerable, but even he can't save this lumbering, nut infested turd from bad writing, bad direction, and bad acting. You have to wonder if John Carpenter has seen any of these sequels. They just keep getting worse.

It is full of laughs, though.

Good. Lots of fun, lots of Michael, good action, good kills - all the things you'd expect of a Halloween franchise entry.

Very different than anything that came before. Had potential by setting up questions like, who is this 'Boots', what is the mark that appeared on walls and arms and it had a really great, cliffhanger ending. Unfortunatly, they screwed the pooch with part 6.

A great follow up to the fourth and just as fun and brutal as the others. Michael's journey in this was great, from swimming down a river to being brought back by voodoo. There were a lot of great tension filled killings, something that the last was missing. Loomis got even more ...( read more)diabolical in this, using poor Jamie as bait. It's a fun horror movie at heart and honors what the meaning of the franchise is.

I love how the ultimate story unfolds each movie.

Apart from some interesting murder scenes, the film is going nowhere. It seems that Michael Myers is invincible and he can do whatever he wants to. It was mostly boring but I must mention that Danielle Harris is great.

This is a cool movie. But I don't get it.I've saw the first movie,he killed that woman(was she his mom or sister)when he was a little boy. Why!?And why is he going after jamie? She is his niece! What did she do to him? What did anyone do to him?And how did he become immortal? In the first movie,it never shows him becoming immortal to where he can never die.I thought he was a normal little boy.and why doesn't Dr.Loomis never die either.what is up with that.the only people who never die are jamie,dr.loomis and micheal.well,of course, micheal would never die and neither would jamie due to the fact that they are the main characters in the movies. But dr.loomis could die.But then again,he is the only one who can help jamie beat micheal. But how can he survive all that has happened to him.I mean he has survived an explosion, beatings,
and so much more. How is that possible. Why not just set him in a fire for about 30 minutes and let him live. That is impossible. How does he do it?It is like really weird!
