i like halloweentown it stars Debbie Reynolds, & Kimberly J brown. aggie cromwell goes to her daughter's house to ask for her help in fighting a dark force. but Marnie & her brother & sister go & help there grandma. in fighting the dark force. if you like watching halloweenrown on disney. you will like this movie. this is one movie to add to your List!
Okay, hold on before you freak out: I haven't even SEEN it, but I have some inside jokes about it with a friend, so I want to see it JUST SO I CAN KNOW what it is I'm making fun of, okay?? (:P)
My daughter Emily got me into watching these movies, and I found myself really enjoying them. If I had tried watching them by myself, I don't know that I would have liked it much. But when you're a parent, you find yourself pressed into giving it a legitimate chance. hahaha! And the story isn't bad either, kinda reminds me of R. L. Stine. And he's pretty good, too.
Can't say this was much in terms of a Hallowe'en movie, but what can you say when Disney is at the helm. With all the modern advances in technology, you'd think Disney could cough up some extra dough for better creature effects.
This movie just echoes Disney's first foray into the horror genre Mr. Boogedy, and even though this movie came about 20 years later Mr. Boogedy had much better effects, and he gave me nightmares. If I saw this as a kid I would laugh myself to sleep.
Although this is a movie for the season it just can't measure up to Disney Hallowe'en films that have come before it. Legend of Sleepy Hollow anyone?

I never could figure out why they only played it near Halloween, and I still think it is a year around motion picture.
I love the music, it is so upbeat and happy. Also the costumes are creative, and it is fun trying to guess what they are.

Me and my son love this movie. It's a very cute children's movie for Halloween. I would love to visit Halloweentown. The skeleton cabbie is my favorite!!!
Disney Original Movies haven't always been the best, but Halloweentown had a great start to a franchise. Kimberly J Brown does a great job with Marnie as being the main role of HT. This movie does act as one of my favorite original Disney movies. The special effects are actually pretty good for that time period. The magic isn't always there, but it works. This movie is an overall must see, and if you love Halloween you gotta see this one.
i love ewvery single halloweentown movie !!!! they are awesome except for the last one because kimberly j. brown isnt in it, even though i like sarah paxton i just think tht kimberly is better
Pretty good but obviously better if you watch it around Halloween. Its more so for children but worth a watch during Halloween when nothing else is on television.
Disney channel movies are not the greatest by any means. They just try to get them out as quickly as possible. This one was not terrible though, it just wasn't good.
