This superhero flick not only works as an action-adventure & an comedy, but it also works as an brilliant & multi-faceted character piece about an worldwide archetype: the reluctant hero.

Really liked the first half but wasn't that interested after the unexpected twist. I think they should have explored the fact that he was a homeless alcoholic superhero more rather than the romantic angel stuff. Imagine if the Coen Brothers had directed it, now that would have be...( read more)en a five star film!

Tricky, Hancock is a reasonable film, nothing special. The spoof type superhero thing is kinda old now and the effects are nothing special as we see things like this in films ALL the time now, big deal.there are some nice sequences and afew funny parts and the way Hancock is bein...( read more)g presented the film is trying to get u to relate and feel for Hancock, what would it really be like to be in his postion?

This does work to a degree but it just annoys you cos you really want to have his ability and you want him to actually be a villian maybe haha I would say the first half of the film is good but the second half is not so good, the plot goes AWOL when he finds another 'superhero' person and things just get naf. It gets too serious near the end and loses it genre, is this a comedy, spoof or something to think about? a serious comedy?
The plot also becomes alittle odd and if you don't listen you lose it easy haha I'm still unsure myself but it seems the further away from the other superhero person the stronger their powers? is that right?

It's a lost chance for me, I dont like Theron, she's very overrated, same for Will Smith, highly overrated. Could of been much better and funnier.

I think it's a superhero movie unlike any other superhero movie out there. I enjoyed it and Will Smith is great in it.

Will Smith is Hancock, a superhero thats just laid back getting drunk till the public needs him. When th...( read more)e public calls for help, Hancock comes to their rescue but not in way they want him too. Hancock doesn't understand why their not grateful for saving their lives. That same day, Hancock comes to rescue a guy whose in Public Relations named Rafe (Jason Bateman) who is very thankful that Hancock came when he did. From there, Rafe invites Hancock into his life by sharing everything that he has with him including his lovely wife Mary (Charlize Theron) & their son, Aaron (Jae Head). As Hancock is with Rafe & his family, Rafe decides that he wants to help Hancock by putting him back on top. The only way that Hancock can do that, is by going away & see if the people miss him. One day, things go real bad where the public need Hancock's help once again. Hancock comes but not like as he was before but with an actual superhero suit which makes him an icon to the world.

Hancock is a very good action/comedy/drama. Hancock is not an ordinary superhero movie where its just action but with a story that keeps you interested & having fun with. It has its up & downs on things but good nonetheless. It's set on superb class entertainment all the way. From the start your in on the action & as it goes on it keeps you on edge of your seat suspense. There are twists that you don't see coming that were very shocking when witnessing. This film is really hillarious with alot of suggestive crude that may not be suitable for younger viewers. Their is also some foul language that was little too much for a PG-13 like using the F-Word twice. Hancock is one of Will Smith's best & finest performances since I Am Legend. Even though this movie doesn't really relie on acting, I was very surprised how good it was. Charlize Theron was really good with her part playing a sexy stunning wife. Jason Bateman who I'm not really familiar with was good as well who was trying to help Will get make on his feet with things. Whoever hasn't seen this movie. You don't know what your missing. Do yourselves a favor & see this fun enjoyable film. Hancock is an entertaining action-packed piece of cinema that will engage viewers with a good story along with a fun expereince watching Will take on a hero that will inspire..
