Michael was a retired cop and aspiring pilot who craved the freedom of the open sky. Despite the fact that he didn't earn enough to pursue flying as a hobby, Michael and his instructor were soon earning a little extra cash by teaching their friends how to fly. Later, after a foreign tour group stumbled across their backwater airport, business really began to pick up and Extended Sky was born. Before long, Extended Sky is operating three helicopters full time. Enter Don Hilbie, a mechanical genius just out of the National Guard, and his brother Dave, who is hired to build Extended Sky's first turbine helicopter.
