Distraught at the state of her marriage, Gabrielle wanders in anguish and is eventually drawn towards a random man whom she spots inside a Virgin Megastore. The handsome stranger glances at her while both listen to the same song. And mysteriously, the two of them share a fleeting but intensely intimate moment in the middle of an anonymous crowd. When he leaves the store, Gabrielle is even more vulnerable than before. Concomitantly, and in comedy crisis mode, George and Nathalie argue loud and violently -- the former suffocating in his wife's feminist demands and the latter feeling trapped in a monogamous relationship. Looking for solace, George buys an expensive Mercedes and turns to his old friends, Vincent and Fred. Although all three men keep each other company, even their weekly soccer games and poker nights do not protect them from mid-life anguish. Fred is still single -- and proudly so. He sleeps with a series of spectacular women and plays the role of liberated straight male for his pals. But while Vincent and George struggle, with no success, to understand Fred's sex appeal, they cannot see that Fred also yearns for a change of pace.

    A delightful French film about the different shades of love and lust as experienced by a married couple and the husband's two best friends. Like Yvan Attal's previous My Wife is an Actress, the film is neither comedy nor drama but an iridescent blending of the two, like the complex sky of a Turner painting. Attal's psychological insights and his skill with actors draw us into the characters' lives, in ways that are never less than sympathetic, and he's becoming a damn good filmmaker; his camerawork is always loose, fluid and intent on discovery; it adores Charlotte Gainsbourg at all times and lets characters' moments together and alone unfurl easily and casually in a way that Hollywood seems to want to avoid like failure. The sort of frothy, amusing and tremendously provocative Parisian romantic comedy that Eric Rohmer used to do so well.

    J'aime bien les films d'Yvan Attal, et je l'aime bien comme comédien aussi. J'aime bien les films dans lesquels joue Gainsbourg et Chabat. Tous les éléments sont là et pourtant... et pourtant je n'aime que ça.

    Esta pelicula es fenomenal. Las actuaciones son de lujo, dialogos muy buenos. Nota especial: la aparicion inesperada de Johnny Deep le da un giro interesante a la pelicula.

    Je n'ai vu que la moitie du film mais assez pour voir Johnny Depp parler en français... trop sexy!

    I only saw half of the movie but enough to see Johnny Depp speak in French... sooo hot!

    Really interesting movie that i watched because there was Johnny Depp's cameo.. his power is really huge ! xDD
    Itherwise a good french movie, entertaining.

    I wish I could watch every movie ever made but I sadly don't have the time. I'm not interested in this movie because I don't think I'll like it or don't know enough about it to think I might like it. I may still end up seeing it some day though.
