I thought this was going to be entertaining and yet I had to force myself to sit through the end. It was terrible.

Tries too hard to be entertaining for two levels ... falls short. Crap animation does not help.

Can anybody tell me what's going on with modern animation? Take an interesting premise like this twisted Cinderella story and then just stop trying. Lacklustre script, boring characters, and less than amusing animation. The only passable aspect was the voice acting. Maybe kids mi...( read more)ght find something to smile at, but I certainly didn't. Really quite disappointing.

A recycled and uninteresting plot which lays the groundwork for the worst comedy I've ever seen. The animation is bland and looks very cheap. The animation wouldn't be so bad if the writing was good but alas it isn't meant to be. The B star cast pimp out their vocal talents for s...( read more)ome safe cash but put know effort into convinving us of these boring and unlikeable characters. God knows what's up with the shiteriffic soundtrack either. If you see this film walking around, just kick it in the nuts.

What an awful mess of a film. I am usually a sucker for animated films, but I don't think I've ever seen a horrible one before this. It's hard to find anything good about this film, because it is really, really terribly done. The animation isn't amazing like that of Shrek ...( read more)or The Incredibles, the writers must have been extremely rushed or completely imcompetent and the voice work isn't even good. This is also probably one of the worst films I have seen in the past few years.

Robert Moreland, the screenwriter, must have been out of his mind. First of all, this is the most ridiculously unoriginal story ever. Second of all, it seemed very rushed with many, many plotholes. It's a corny movie, yes, but that's no excuse for sloppy writing. Usually, a well written animated film can be fit for both kids and adults (like The Incredibles or Toy Story) with many jokes that the kids wouldn't get, but aren't bad in any way. With this film, it may have been intended for both kids and adults, but it doesn't even come close to being entertaining for adults. Most of the laughs are too adult-oriented for the kids, but aren't funny enough for the adults, so where there should be people laughing, it's silent because both the kids and adults are unimpressed.

As I said, the voice work is weak. Some of the voices don't match up with the characters and it seems very choppy. Freddie Prinze Jr.'s voice suited his character, but I don't think Sigourney Weaver's suits hers (I love the woman, don't get me wrong). Wallace Shawn and Andy Dick, however, were well cast.

What this movie was trying to be, I'll never really understand... but what it came off as was a Shrek rip-off. The whole fairy tale land with all of the characters from popular fairy tales... it just was not original whatsoever.

Overall, this film is crap. An absolute embarrassment to animation work and film in general. There was two laughs.. I counted them. This film might be intended for kids, but I don't even think they would like it. I do not recommend this to any living creature. It should be shown to rocks and other inanimate objects that don't have eyes.

The try of making a different movie which is kind of low-quality. But I think it didn't make the impression the director tried. But still, it's entertaining.

Great satire, but I think it would work better as a cartoon, 2D animation.

Scriptwriter Rob Moreland keeps the one-liners flowing, though, at best, they register no better than a tepid smirk on the humour thermometer. full review

The film aims for sassy but lands in soggy, the victim of lazy scripting and pacing. full review

There is the requisite bathroom humor (though it's mild) and a wan effort to be a bit edgy by updating the looks of Cinderella. But it takes more than a spiffy short haircut to make a character memor... full review
