Happy Gilmore is one of the funniest sports films of all time. I think that this is Adam Sandler?s best film. He is brilliant as Happy Gilmore because he is arrogant in a hilarious way. When Happy starts playing golf he acts like an arsehole who hits other people and throwing clubs but when he falls for Public Relations Director Virginia that all changes and he starts to cool down and he starts to become a golf icon and entertainer. It is a bit ridiculous that Happy is getting money for his grandmother?s house by becoming a professional golfer. That is one pathetic thing about the plot apart from that the plot is brilliant. The acting from rest of cast was alright. Carl Weathers was really good as Chubbs Peterson but a better actor could have been in this film. I think Morgan Freeman would have been good in this film. He would have brought some comedy into this film because he is quite a humorous actor himself and I think he would be a good partner in the film with Adam Sandler. Christopher McDonald was good as Shooter McGavin because I think he looks like a really good golfer in real life and he is also arrogant but in a comedy way but nothing like Adam Sandler though. Julie Bowen was ok as Public Relations Director Virginia because she acted a bit ridiculous and she didn?t look that good to her character. Ben Stiller makes an uncredited appearance in this film aswell. He is good in this aswell. One of my favourite comedies and one of favourite sport films of all time. I did prefer sport films like Cinderella Man, Bend It Like Beckham and Raging Bull.
One of Adam Sandler lesser known movies but its his best by far. I still piss myself when hes havin a square go with the celebrity guy and he gets his ass well and truly kicked.
Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler), an aspiring Hockey player discovers his grandma is evicted from her home. In order to win back the money to buy the hose his grandma lived in, Happy puts his hockey skills to use on the golf course where he makes a name for himself.
Adam Sandler's best movie to date. It non stop laughs from start to finish, has one of the biggest jack ass villains in movie history with Shooter McGavin and if all of that wasn't good enough it also has one of the best fight scenes even with Happy vs. Bob Barker.
The best sports movie of all time. Shooter McGavin is one of the best villains of all time, and certainly in a sports movie. Oh and it's hilarious obviously.
wow i have not seen this movie in ages but thought that this was really funny 2 see...i think that ben stiller in this movie plays a really funny part throughout this movie...this is maybe my favourite adam sandler movie but not sure cuz he is a really funny actor..this has a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...this is just so funny 2 see
This is sooo funny. I mean every Adam Sandler movie is funny, but this one is just hilarious. I mean everytime i go play golf i think of this movie and it makes me laugh.

This is my favorite of the Adam Sandler type comedies. It always funny when I watch it.

A lot of the humor comes from Sandler of course and the premise, but much of the fun also lies in the great supporting cast that includes Carl Weathers as Chubbs and Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, who is so funny as the counter to Happy.
Chubbs: Golf requires concentration and focus. Happy Gilmore: Golf requires goofy pants and a fat ass. You should talk to my neighbor the accountant. Probably a great golfer. Huge ass. Chubbs: I'll bet your neighbor the accountant doesn't have a shot at joining the pro tour, and winning the championships. Get that gold jacket like I never got. Happy Gilmore: Gold jacket, green jacket, who gives a shit?
The plot is of course very easy, Gilmore has unique strength when it comes to driving a golf ball. He now decides to play golf in order to get money to buy back his grandma's house. Hilarity ensues.

WHY WON'T YOU GO TO YOUR HOME. JUST GO. ANYWAY CUTE SO MANY LINES FROM THIS MOVIE AND CAN'T GET THE LITTLE PERSON RIDING A HORSE IN HIS HAPPY PLACE OUT OF MY MIND. PLUS YOU GET TO SE BOB BARKER IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT.
A classic Adam Sandler movie, and arguably his most famous, take him from being a daddy to a pro-golfer who'd rather play hockey, but cant cut it. So what do you do? Take the shot to green of course. A great gem in comedy and another must have of Adam Sandler's.
Acam Sandler at his funniest. I have to admit I'm kind of ashamed to praise this film. It's Adam Sandler's low class, mentally unstable jokes he's done his entire career. At could just be Bob Barker kicking Sandler's ass (Which is a pretty great moment to watch) or that maybe Sandler can be a funny guy at times? (Ok now I'm crazy.) but watch it for what it's worth. A fun 2 hours.
