I remember this movie feeling like a Cliff's Notes version of the book. Tried to mention as much as possible without putting enough substance to anything.
This movie is about Harry Potter returning to Hogwarts and finding a Chamber of Secrets, a long lost secret. He starts to notice the weird and scary things happening, and a look back into time tells him of how his long lost rival tricked everybody.
Quite long, and more than a little safe, but still a noble Harry Potter entry nonetheless. I guess it makes sense that my least favourite Potter book would produce my least favourite Potter film.
This Harry Potter film has a lot more life and excitement to it. Dobby, the flying car and the Whomping Willow made it even more magical than the first one. In spite of all of this, I still think that director Chris Columbus tried to keep the this first two films too innocent and, as we've come to know, the world of Harry Potter is nothing but innocent and happy.
Love the story. I love that it is a mysterious mission for Harry, Ron and Hermione. It is a fantastic film. Dan made a little improvement on Harry in this film. But Rupert and Emma made an excellent performance in the film (as usual). The story is very tense, you always wonder what is going to happen next. This is my second favourite Harry Potter film. I love all of the films really. Such is the Harry Potter phenomenon that it's impossible (and maybe unfair) to compare Chamber Of Secrets to anything other than Rowling's books and the original movie. In those terms, it's what the fans demand, but a slight snub for the uninitiated. That said, it also offers a more imaginatively colourful world than almost every other children's film out there.
i've read the book, and i've watched the movie...i think i prefer the book more than the movie....but i do like to watch the movie so that i can compare what is different between the book and the movie....heheheheh
the second installation was much better then the first one, we can explore Hogwarts more, seeing more dark enemy of Harry potter was really cool.. love the story, a secret room hidden in the magical school, where is the room? how they found it? and all the great crap in it, makes more intresting and not dull!
i think that this film is ok and i would like t see it again some time i no that harry potter is a verry handsom lad and i like the way he uses his wand and says wierd magic words but i want to see the other films he has made
