this was a build up movie for the next movie but it was not up to par like the other movies in the series

Another good edition in the series, but still lacking a lot of action for the long running time. It does also, despite the length, only feel like half a film. There are some funny moments and it continues in the dark setting of the last few films. Hopefully the next part will be ...( read more)even better.

I'm really not much of a fan of the Harry Potter series, but yet I still watch all these films. I don't have much to say because I'm not into it and I just don't get the whole kid/wizardry appeal. But I'm going to keep an open mind... These films are getting made better ...( read more)as they move on. The graphics are fantastic, and the acting is superb. The storyline I'm sure is good, I'm just not following them too well. I'm sure fans of the series absolutely love it. I wish I could get into it because it seems really neat, but I just can't. I'm not hating on it by any means, I feel 3 stars is pretty good for a non fan.

When I saw this at the theatre, I didn't like or understand much of this movie. I found it too dark and incomprehensible without the fun and magic of the previous Potter entries.

Re-watching it on DVD in the comfort of my home, I have gained a new appreciation of this movie as a...( read more) dark dramatic entry in the Harry Potter series. Many of the scenes were so drab, they looked shot in black & white. The makers still failed to elicit any emotion when things turned for the worse at the end.

Very visually stunning - even moreso than the others - but it's incredibly long and actually quite boring. Then again, it has to be. The final two movies are set up to be deathfests and romance blossoms between characters, so this film really had to be the first Star Wars film in...( read more) terms of sacrificing itself so the films that followed could do their thing. Not really disappointing under those circumstances.

I thought the acting was so much better and it was actually a lot funnier than I thought it would be.
