I agree. I, myself, have read the books. They left alot of information out. My husband on the other hand has not read the books...to him it was just another Harry/Voldemort fight. He didn't see any "new" information in this movie. Aside of "one cannot live while the other survives". I completely understand that EVERYTHING wouldn't be able to be put into 2 hours. But, alot of useful information was left out. :(

It is unreal to think you can take a book of that size and put it into a 2hr.+ movie and be able to include everything, but still alot of key information was left out.If you have not read the books it was a good movie. How ever if you have read the books very dissapointing.

omg harry potter and the ootp was so good i loved it .i think it was the best one.it is sad in some parts and then it is funny in some parts and the it is dark.but they made the movie so well.but i did find that some of the goood parts in the book that i was hopeing to see in the movie where not there . but even after that the movie was so good i love it !!!!! and they kind of made it so that ron and hermoine cared more about each other in this movie .

I totally agree with all the people who said the film wasn't as good as the book. The film was breathtakingly good, I never said it was bad, but the book describes more. To those who don't have a clue what I'm saying: the book's better. I'm loving Emma Watson!

The movie was quite good... but as everyone keeps saying they missed out loads of important parts... like Ron and Hermione becoming prefects, Nevilles part in the prophecy... In the movie, Harry heard the prophecy when he picked it up but in the book Dumbledore told him about the prophecy... oh and Harry broke the prophecy in the film but Neville broke it in the book... oh and when they went into the Ministry of magic going to fight the death eaters, I was looking forward to seeing how they acted out the scenes when Harry had the Prophecy and they were running from the death eaters and went in all them different rooms, but then found out that in actual fact it wasnt even in the movie... all in all it was the best film yet but I cant help feeling dissappointed that so much was missed out of the movie and I cant see how they are going to follow the story line on to all the other movies! Im just going on and on so... bai!

This film was in all very good but to be honest i found it rushed and changed in places that really didn't need to be changed and crucial scenes from the book got missed out. I think they should of made it longer. Maybe to about 3 or so hours. I did absolutely love the posession scene though. it actually brought me to tears. Daniel proved himself in that scene a lot. Emmas acting was as terrible as ever. I don't know why they still keep her, she is rubbish. Rupert is still charming. Like i said in all is was a good little movie. It's got nothing on the books though, haha!

this movie was okay, but it messed up the whole book. it left out neville being a possible prophecy person and marietta, cho's friend who told. also, in the movie, hermione never actually gave the DA a name, but when they were found out, dumbledore said that at the top of the piece of paper, it said Dumbledore's Army, the DA. Inorder to get the parts the producers left out in, they could have extended teh movie to at least 3 hours, to make it better.

I thought the movie was good, but being a die-hard Harry Potter fan I think it lacked some of the crucial scenes from the book, like the Howler to Aunt Petunia, Neville's part in the prophecy, the Centur as a teacher, but all in all it was a good movie. Also they did show the feelings that Ginny still had for Harry with the quick glances and so forth, but didn't bring her out and yelling at Harry for knowing what it was like to be possesed(sp?) by Voldermont (which I thought was crucial to their relationship) other then that the fight scenes were excellent, the script could have been better and more complete. I mean why make a movie that its sequels had been 3 hrs long less the 2 1/2? Hopefully there are lots of deleted and extended scenes when released on DVD. All in all a decent take on the 5th book.

Yupz sunshinesnow I totally agree! Richard Harris was way wittier and better, tho Michael Gambon did better in this film than previously...

I thought it was definately the best HP movie yet. It stuck much closer to the book than the other. I DO NOT LIKE Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, though. Their acting is so horrible. I get all stressed out in the theater because of it. I thought Evanna Lynch did quite well as Luna....she's almost how I pictured her.

The worst Harry Potter movie. There a lot of little things which are incorrect. It's a pity.

Sunshinesnow, i totally agree with u about Richard Harris playing Dumbledore, he portrayed him so much better! Micheal Gambon is almost like the complete opposite of him!

Movie was good but i did come out feeling a tad disappointed - they cut out way more than i thought they would from the book - if i wasn't a big fan of the books i would say the movie is great tho!

The magic is great! And boy... how the kids have grown! Love all Harry Potter movies, and this one's no exception. But i do miss Richard Harris (Albus Dumbledore in Philosopher's Stone & Chamber of Secrets). Miss his benevolent and wise portrayal. Always impressed by his seem-to know-it-all-but-i'm-not-going-to-tell expression. Also very captivated by his nothing-moves-me kind of composure. Just thought that a character like Dumbledore which is the total opposite of Lord Voldermort, should evoke feelings of deep wisdom & great prowess yet humble & gentle in his dealings with others. Anyhow, like always, the movie's another hit! Bravo!!

Any people who hate this movie obviously dont appreciate good blockbuster cinema! This is a brilliant, dark, well acted movie that is a film that dares to stray from the (slightly boring) book, into an independent piece of cinema, even though die hard Potter fans may not like it.
BTW i am a die hard Potter fan and i still love this film!

A lot better than the prevous Harry potter films.

This one still not as close to the book as most fans would want, but had the feel of the book, which the others didn't.

The Fight scene between the Harry and friends + the Order v Death Eaters was fantastic.

A must if you haven't seen it.

Well i didn't expect it to match the book that takes place mostly in the head of the characters, which is fine for a book, but when it comes to a movie picturing a magic world, i expect to see more magic when it seems they took it out to focus only on the character's feeling, like the book in (too) fast foward. But eh, i understand this book was the longest, and probably least adaptable in movie yet i don't see the series going on if you skip this one...........

for those of u who say u wont understand dis one w/o readin da book first, ur wrong: my friend hasnt read a single book but she likes da movies and she said she understood dis movie---anyways, da movies will never be as incredible as da books so stop whining, as far as da film itselfgoes, it was da best one yet...da characters were played out very well especially umbridge, luna, bellatrix, and sirius, and da trio are gettin way better at playin deir parts as dey progress, da visuals were pretty cool and it was emotionally comparable 2 its book counterpart (all da anger, anxiety, etc)...overall, the best potter film yet

i saw the movie and as a harry potter book fan i actually really enjoyed it. although i think if you didnt read the book that you would be most likely confused. but i think the kept the right things and cut the right things out there were only a few things that upseted me . over all i think this was the best made potter movie yet. the dementers and the talking in the fire were cooler then other movies and more how i pictured them.
