it left out many things that have been set up for the storyline to come... i don't now how they're going to finish the movie series.

It portrays the characters in a better way than the other movies have. It still lacked the charm and many of the stories that make the books great, but it's far better than the other movies.
I thought the movie was very good. For antone who thought it strayed from the book, they all do. The books are too long to put everything in the movies. If they did the movie would be 6 hours long at least. They put enough in to let you understand what was going on. Did I want more, yes, but like in The Lord of The Rings, they had to make cuts somewhere.
I thought this newest installment was disapointing, there seems to be little in common with the previous movies style. And to be honest I hope this is the last of the cast as they just look to old to be school kids .
I too thought this movie was a let down. They skipped many important parts such as when Ron and Hermione become prefects. I noticed that the movie almost had a different story line then the book. It seemed like the movie was leading up to something, but nothing really happened. I also thought that the lack of time at school made the movie even more unimpressive then it already was. I noticed after seeing it twice I thought it was much better, but still not "good".
harry potter is the best movie and books ever .. iam wish if that world was real it would be great ....
i, too, am a very very big harry potter fan and this movie was sooo disappointing. very upsetting. :(
it seems ever since i heard they got a new dirctor the movies just get less and less like the book and more and more disapponting. this one in particluar was just a complete mess. not only were the details left out, but id be surprised that anyone who didnt read the book actually knew what was going on. again, very VERY disappointing.
For all the hype this movie had it was a real let down. They left out too many important scenes from the book. Though the action was good I found the storyline too disjointed.
the person that said this was the worst movie and that this wasnt that close to the book did u see prisoner of azkaban
ok i saw thew movie the second day it came out i liked it and all but they skiped alot of good scenes from the book that would have been good in the movie
sam
The worst Harry Potter Movie. All the other Movies were close to the book, but Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix had a lot of incorrect things.
I seen it and it was okay. I read the book so I couldn't help but wonder where things were in the film that were in the book. So annoying to read the book and watch the film because their were so many things mixed around and missing that it gave me a headache. But some stuff was great, like the fight scene! That was awesome! The visual effects in this movie is great too!
Thru the yrs. i have learned to lower my expectations every time a new HP movie comes out but this time i wuz surprised about how good this latest movie wuz! the visual effect r amazing, especially the last 30 mins.,the fight scene at the end wuz awesome n Helena Bonham Carter made a perfectly creepy Bellatrix Lestrange! Tho as always i wuz disappointed that they let alot of important like wen they think Neville is the "chosen one" n what about Quidditch?! for once will they make a HP movie thats over 2 1/2 hrs. long!
I loved this movie..but it left out a lot of details that are in the book that makes it less confusing! But still it was awesome!
A first Harry Potter series to be done by a British director and I'm well happy that it was. David Yates managed to keep the characters close to the book and ohh... the duel between Voldemort and Dumbledore is just class.
Good plots, great cinematography, mind boggling fight scenes and finally new musical scores! I was getting so bored of that old theme song by John Williams.
Warning: Make sure there aren't any obnoxious teens sitting behind you, kicking your chair constantly. GROWL!!!!
I haven'tseen it yet but... i'm way excite!!! WAHOOOOOOOO!!! i love harry potter! Plus i might see it today.
too confusing if you didn't read the book, but then once you read the book so much was left out or put out of order or context that you were disapointed with the movie. its a lose-lose situation. tho this was a hard movie to do and it was well done (sorta) it could have been done better.
wtf!?! Everythings changed from the book, the things in the film aren't always described as in the book, loads of stuff missed out, continuity from other HP movies is appalling. Still like it though lol :P
I was so dissapointed in this film. Of corse this has been true of almost all the films. The directors and script writers need to go back to school. And they also need to stick to one director so the style doesn't repeatly change.
I'm not one of these elitist who read these things called 'books'. Let alone a Harry Potter book. So I don't have any basis of comparison to the novel origins. But these movies are pretty good. I like this one quite a bit, might be one of my top HP movies. Daniel Radcliffe does a decent job showing anger for a teenage actor (much better than the loser in Star Wars Episodes II and III). Of course there are cool magic spells and special effects. The wizard battle at the end was really neat. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND downloading this audio narration of the 1st HP movie and playing it while watching the movie on mute. It is called Wizard People, Dear Reader ( http://www.illegal-art.org/video/wizard.html ). It is a comedic narration of the movie by an Austin, TX comic artist, Brad Neeley, and it is fucking hilarious!
omg! i juss saw this last night and i was amazed!! the 3-d at the end was pretty good... the movie was great too! they left out to much of it tho!! like the quibbler and ron playing quidditch and how neville could have been the "chosen one" it was a great movie tho!
i also missed the hospital scene... they should have put it in there!!
i saw it on wednesday !
on a special viewing in the theatres while i was on vacation. And i must say; it was horrible. I thought the acting (other than, the 3 mains) was horrible. We barely saw ANY of the actors, and the script was horrible. This movie is a shame to the book. Where was ron ? Hermione ? we barely saw them ! unless you've read the book you'd have no clue what was going on in this movie. Considering how many times i've read the books, this movie definately doesnt like up to its title. They should be ashamed.
