August 27, 2009It's not a bad film but I was never much into Goblins, Witches/Wizards etc, I was more of a Dinosaurs and Astronauts kid. I also believe J.K Rowling is the biggest thief in literature's history. Didn't she do well though!

November 19, 2009A great adaption, keeping the tone and great originality of the book. It's an amazing world of characters, stories and locations. While it is definitely a film targeted for children, it can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

November 14, 2009I don't know if anyone else is aware of this or not but supposedly jk rowling had a deal worked out with the movie studio in her contract with them that only British actors could play all of the roles throughout all of the seven films, which is the damned dumbest thing that I've ever heard!!
This is the main reason why I think the first movie sucked. They had subpar actors bc that wench decided to be stupid with that particular stipulation that she managed to manipulate into her contract, and so the movie(s, all of them no doubt) suffered!
You didn't see the Tolkien estate make such stupid and bumbling demands when they were putting the contract together for The LOTR's films, did you? And those movies were awesome!!! -
