Wow, you've gotta be kidding me. This movie was... scary, really. For one who hates too much psychology.
For a few minutes it painted a REAL picture of drugs... as neurotic and absolutely not worth it. But then the ending. Uggg. Just a sad, sad movie. I hate that this goes on in the world. It isn't worth it.
Lots of sex, deception and an adventurous storyline. Even if you don't like the plot, which involves a manipulative FBI investigation and a points-shaving scam, you'd enjoy the hilarious 'acid trip' scenes. Grenier, Adams and Stoltz are very convincing, yet there are a few pretentious actors who barely achieve a decent portrayal (Gayheart, Gellar, etc). Great direction, especially surrounding the schizophrenic acts where Alan's (Grenier) mind is galloping on a triple-heavy dose of LSD. Take my advice: Stay away from acid.
Not a bad little film. It had good energy and some humorous drug trip moments. The story is a dash weak but above average performances pull it through.
Great movie. Very fun movie. Action, comedy, witty, and as well, Sexy Sarah Michelle Gellar is amazing. Joey Lauren Adams also supports along with Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Stoltz. Great casting job and plot. What's not to like about this movie? Give it a chance people, you won't regret it.
If the creator's of Entourage would have based their casting decision on this performance, I don't think that he would have gotten it. He was terrible, she was terrible, the plot, story, cinematography, directing, and even the extras were terrible. Don't waste your time... PLEASE.
SMG fans will be dissapointed with this. A very odd film each which a student gets mixed up in trying to throw a basketball game in which to make money for himself and his mobster daughter, girlfriend.
If you've never done acid and wonder what it's like: this is the only movie I know of that actually portrays it realistically.
And that's just one of many strong points.
The editing is top notch. For about the first half-hour or so, you're gonna think that this movie is trying to be something it is not. But then it turns out to be all it pretends to and then some.
This movie had me laughing my ass off at some points. Adrian Grenier (Vincent Chase in "Entourage") delivers a great performance along with Eric Stoltz, Joey Lauren Adams, Rebecca Gayheart, and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
this is the worst movie ... it's about some college guy who falls in love with the daughter of a mob drug king ...and he's addicted to sex , drugs..and gets really messed up at the end..
If you like to watch movies when you're HIGH, go watch it. If you are a sane, nice, normal person...just forget about this movie. The worst Sarah's work.
