Plot:
The film takes a devastating story and presents it in a way that is cute and funny but not patronizing. The fakt that life can be cute and funny among its devastation is quite the lesson to teach! That and don't smoke 28 cigarettes a day or try to withdraw money from the microwave.
The narration by Geoffrey Rush is very effective!
Favourite movie quotation in a long time: "Harvie had lost a testicle but gained a wife."
Shortfilm from Australia. I love the beauty in this film that is hidden behind so much tragedy. This short is just perfect.
Geoffrey Rush narrates the 20 minute claymation short from Australia about the life of Harvey Krumpet. Watching someone endure bad luck throughout their entire life has never been this much fun. Highly recommended.
Poor Harvie Krumpet. Life is so hard on him that even he begins to wonder at one point that if he'd started with nine lives, he might only have four left. And that's only part way through this 20 minute short; life still has some surprises left for him after that.
A bittersweet look a surviving life whatever challenges it might throw at you, and possibly doing so in the nude when you can get away with it. Good stuff.
One of the greatest story lines I have seen in a play for a long time. The animation is adequate but the it really is the story line that makes it for this movie. A definite must see!
The enchanting tale of an immigrant Australian. A captivating film and proof that Australian's can make good films when they try to.
Overrated, its too short. I expected dialogue but we get narration. Good story and it is eventful and sporadically funny.
very very crude.... but "God is better then football, God is better then beer, God is better than cricket, cause God's there all the year" lol :D i love it
i love this movie but it doesnt look like a lot of effort was put in. but it really is funny, maybe im just immature.
Great movie, and that stuff about life.(TIM)
well i alredy new that shit so his movie really pleased me.
Oh, this movie is the cutest! Beautifully arranged, not a second too long or short. Despite Harvey being made of clay, you cannot help but think he is a living creature and sympathise with him.
extremely depressing film, made me really think about life after i saw it. although i understand what a good movie it is, i really didnt enjoiy it very much. something to do with him getting nowhere in life, and always suffering just made me sick to the stomach. it was very well made, but i enjoyed it not.
