Hasards ou coïncidences (Chance or Coincidence)
In this French-Canadian romantic drama, former classical dancer Myriam, raising her young son Serge alone, meets art forger Pierre. The two find an attraction and plan to traverse the world together. However, a boating accident and the loss of Myriam's bag at the Montreal airport bring other factors into play.

Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"Without a solid grounding in credibility or emotional involvement, the film's edifice threatens to tumble, but then only a lovable madman such as Lelouch would dare to conjure an epic vision from such ramshackle elements in the first place."
‑ Trevor Johnston, Time Out
"A strong candidate for the year's most overblown French romantic drama."
‑ Tom Dawson, Total Film
"The fact that Lelouch mobilises massive cinematic means for an old-fashioned melodrama is fine. The problem is his penchant for overlaying this with a thick layer of 'serious' themes."
‑ Ginette Vincendeau, Sight and Sound
