You have to be really patient to get to the good stuff here. A quick gore throw away with Robt. Englund sets the stage for close to an hour before any action follows. No story follows either. Essentially this wants to be the new Friday the 13th. However, it only has enough materi...( read more)al for a half hour version. The rest is god awful tedious padding. (With another terrible throw away scene from Tony Todd. Didn't this sort of thing go out with DTV films in the 80's?)

The kills and effects and quite good, but you don't care. There's nothing to back this up. It's like a show reel was tacked on the end for the effects. Avoid unless you intend to FF to see the effects of the last half hour.

Just plain FUN!!! The gore is fantastic, the cameos from horror icons is fun and the comedy (while a little overdone) is enjoyable! Horror cliche after horror cliche has never been so fun, since there is tounge in cheek all the way and it never takes itself too seriously at all! ...( read more)Unique and interesting death scenes are very inventive, even if the execution (no pun intened) is predictable. Just try to imagine every classic horror movie ever, being homaged with smirky comedy insteady of ridiculous spoof.

Some pretty decent kill sequences, but the plot was far too dull to keep me interested.

Tagged as an old school American horror this definitely felt like watching an older horror film along the lines of Friday the 13th. However mixed with some very over the top gore from more recent horror films and you get this. Featuring cameos from Robert Englund, Tony Todd and K...( read more)ane Hodder. There are plenty of jokes, gore and all the other ingredients that horror fans love about slasher films in this.

Truly disastrous!!! I had been under the impression that this film was going to be a reasonably good slasher film, it was nothing of the sort.

It was a teen movie, with a silly plot,, with a cameo role from two previous horror icons. The acting was awful, the 'thing' chasing...( read more) everyone had no originality about it, all in all it was a very amateur film and is going straight to my 'worst films' list

This film reminded me a lot of Friday the 13th. We have a killer in a swamp, he has a birth defect, and he has a relationship with his father similar to Jason and Mrs. Vorhees but I guess this is why Kane Hodder was picked to be the killer. I was disappointed that Robert Englund'...( read more)s part was so small in it but other than that I thought this film was very entertaining to watch. There's a lot of comedy, a lot of decent kill sequences, and a lot of familiar faces.

Kane Hodder as another blade wielding mongoloid, what more could you ask for? Maybe ultra violence and a Robert Englund cameo, which this has. It's a simple plot, but was done very well.

this movie was lame...the blood looked like paint. utterly rediculous.

Traverses gross-out comedy shtick and slasher flick territories with middling results as both elements lack refinement. The dialogue often sounded too written (and overly coarse) and the horror too predictable. They do get the camp factor right, best demonstrated by 'Candyman' ...( read more)Tony Todd issuing a gravely amusing warning, and strive for 'Evil Dead'-type comic mayhem with gruesome old-school visual effects, but without that's film's knack for cleverness and style.
