In 1969, three students are completing their education as India's political climate becomes increasingly volatile. Siddharth (Kay Kay Menon) is a half-caste who believes the Indian political system must be made more responsive to the needs of the people. Vikram (Roshan Ahuja) comes from a wealthy family and isn't especially concerned with the winds of change. And Geeta (Chitrangda Singh) is from a middle-class upbringing, taking the middle ground, supporting positive change, but rejecting radicalism. While the three students are friends, Vikram is infatuated with Geeta, while she harbors an unrequited love for Siddharth. As time passes, Vikram becomes a successful businessman while Geeta follows Siddharth into activism, but the government crackdowns in 1979 find the three friends reunited under unexpected circumstances.
