Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"Dylan performs well, though he looks a mite uncomfortable during the musical numbers. He certainly appears fitter than Everett whose voice is as wet and stilted as his performance."
‑ Variety Staff, Variety
"Dylan is the key to liking or disliking the film."
‑ Douglas Pratt, DVDLaser
"A half-baked rock'n'roll fable."
‑ Derek Adams, Time Out
"Dylan's participation in such tosh should anger fans more than when he went electric."
‑ , Film4
"Director Richard Marquand died after completing this film, and it only received a limited release before ending up on the video shelves."
