Really awesome movie. I saw it one LMN. I really wish that James Marsden didn't have to be gay. Jonathan and Isabel were so nice together. The ending was so awesome. It was like a giant shocker. I seriously didn't expect him to know that dude and everything. I saw it two times and I'm going to watch it again. This movie was really amazing. It makes you think what a small world we live in.

The depths of Glenn Close and her Shakesperian drama is a great backbone for a seemingly ordinary love story. The gay aspects certaibly add a great dimension to the plot. James Marsden is provocative as ever. A gem.

If I took my writing more seriously, this is the kind of film I would aspire to make. A fantastic ensemble drama where relationships and careers collide, up to a shocking, ambiguous, but ultimately very satisfying conclusion. Great cast. I can't believe it's taken this long for me to see Glenn Close in a "serious" movie (101 Dalmations doesn't count). The younger players were equally impressive. I have no idea why I rented this (usually there's a reason, a particular actor or director most times), but this one just caught my eye. So glad it did!

    Muy interesante, y divertida.
Mucho suspenso, y sorpresas, eso me gusto. Lo unico, le hubiera dado quizas algun final por parte de Peter que me parece se abandonó un poco su historia

it is an interesting story, the way it clashes in at the end is good. the performances are amazing, especially from james marsden who clearly does his drama as well as his comedy. see it

Superb. To quote Jack Mathews from the DVD cover, "Glenn Close is amazing," so much so I watched it a second time with audio commentary just to hear what she had to say about the film. She was so natural and I loved the theatre/acting career storyline she and Jesse Bradford had. The production design was also amazing. New York was the perfect backdrop, and I want to go there more and more every day (although that mugging scene didn't make it that inviting). I think I might go out and buy this.

I love Glenn Close. This role was like made for her! She seemed so comfortable in her scenes, i guess because it semi mirrored her life..but whatever. James Marsden was so selfish.

I tried to like this one, really I did, but it came off as overly pretentious. I really liked the end, but the rest of the movie kind of seemed like unnecessary filler.

This is a movie to "watch". Every piece fits - you don't wander off to get popcorn during this one. I'm adding Glenn Close to my favorites list; I knew she is wonderful; this just confirmed it.

(June 2005 Director Chris Terrio) This movie moved me.. Was it Glenn Close as the aging actress struggling with a open married torn by infidelity, Jesse Bradford? Elizabeth Banks (her photographer daughter)? James Marden (Isabel's fiance)? I am not sure but the cast works together to portray how a single lie can destroy a relationship...and the strength of the mother-daughter bond!

First of all, I have to say I'm reccomending EVERYONE see this film. Don't let any negative feelings you might have about the actors get in the way or any negative feelings you might have about me get in the way.

This is the kind of film I love because it's stripped down and just about relationships between people. And everyone is somehow connected.

I really don't want to ruin the plot. I think the synopsis here is adequate.

Glenn Close (check The Safety of Objects and Nine Lives), Elizabeth Banks (The Sisters), James Marsden (The 24th Day) and Jesse Bradford (Flags of Our Fathers) star in a film that is so aptly titled, Heights -- the heights to which some people will go in order to maintain a certain socially-acceptable lifestyle and/or pretenses.

Eloquent, with a simple statement, this is mandatory viewing.

This is why Indy films are worth watching. You may run into shitty ones or you may find amazing ones.

I didn't care about any of these characters. I couldn't even watch this all in one viewing but I was determined to see if it ever got better...it didn't.

Glenn Close and Elizabeth Banks give really good performances in this well made drama. James Marsden and Jesse Bradford are solid in support and the script is niely written despite some certain subplots that weren't explored enough.

Heights is the kind of movie where everyone starts sad and ends up sad. Yet another movie about relationships in the big apple, it is never dull thanks to Glenn Close's riveting performance.

This film was highlighted by the sensational performance from the one and only Glenn Close. She is once again terrific and makes this movie. This may seem like a story that is told over and over again, but don't let this turn you away from this film. There's something quite original about this movie that I have never seen before. The cinematography was great and the story was also great. Elizabeth Banks provides a new, fresh talent which I look forward to seeing in many more movies to come. A great film... it draws you in, it's pretty much mesmerizing. I recommend this to everyone.

J'aime bien les films où les chemins des différents personnages s'entrecroisent, et c'est exactement ce que l'on retrouve dans ce film. J'ai bien aimé le fait que le film se déroule dans la même journée. - I like movies where the paths of the characters cross each other, and this is exactly what is Heights. I really like the fact that all the movie was in one day.

I get the impression that this movie wants to be a bit of a "Magnolia". Definitely has a wonderful cast, but there was some story that just wasn't dug deep enough into. Could've been beautiful. Even Glen Close isn't given quite as much to do.

So i saw this last night. Glenn Close... she's a fine actress; otherwise the film kinda floated down boredom lane. There is one unexpected twist to the plot and the chemistry between Isabel and Johnathan (marsden and banks) will remind most couples that WITH-HOLDING the TRUTH is in fact a LIE and let's face it - LIES are not advantageous to your love life! Anyway, it was an ok movie.

What a great film! I really love the whole Closer effect (well, many others too but I just thought of Closer) where they have everyone connected and they show you gradually how they come to be together. It has five main characters, and takes place over 24 hours. It has a great story, great characters and actors, and a fabulous outcome. I really enjoyed the male models, too, they were fun to look at ;) Also the little role Rufus Wainwright played, he was great.
