I've got to say i wasn't too impressed with this to be honest. I love the original hellraisers and i just keep hoping that they make at least 1 more decent sequel but thats looking unlikely.

Having said that i've seen worse films but its seems to have gone down the the tradition...( read more)al slasher film a bit too much. The real shame is that there's some good ideas in it. They just don't seem to have been pulled off.

Don't go out of your way to watch this unless you're really into the series. It doesn't add anything, just offers a slightly different slant on the story.

Ummmm.... no. Pinhead in the real world... a video game??

A movie filled with debauchery and uninteresting sex... loads of it, with bucket fulls of fake blood and cheesy has-been horror scenes....

why make things into slashers?? it sucks.

Anyways... thats how c-grade horro...( read more)r goes.

8-17-08: So far, this is the only movie of the Hellraiser series that I've permanently deleted from my drive after watching the whole series in order.
    ______
The main thing that needs to be said about this movie: don't see it. In this one, Lance Henriksen owns and runs the larges...( read more)t collection of Hellraiser related paraphern, set in a world where "Hellworld" is a massive role-playing game of sorts whose players are suspiciously exclusively hot and not a single person at the party requires eyeglasses or corrective dentistry (there is no such thing as this many hot RPGers, much less all of them being at one place together playing the same game). A group of Hellworld RPGers, bound together by a mutual friend who killed himself for the game, show up at Henriksen's mansion for a massive Hellworld party but soon find themselves getting picked off one by one by Cenobites. These Cenobites can actually walk and move, which is kind of a new thing for them. The Chatterer is back and lookin cool; Pinhead's outfit is losing its appeal tho and this costume emphasizes his nipples, which is weird and doesn't work.
This is a straight forward twenty something trapped in a "haunted" house bent on killing them, except it sucks.

And I'll SPOIL it right now: Lance Henriksen is their friend's dad and he is killing all of them out of revenge, and most of the Hellraiser stuff is them hallucinating after he's drugged the kids with hallucinogens and buried them with breathing pipes and cell phones, mentally torturing them until they die. At the end, the "real" Cenobites show up to collect him when he's fiddling around with his son's Lament Configuration and accidentally solves it.

There's gore galore in this flick, but none of it is inventive or cool to watch. It's just a very "blah" horror attempt, which would be admirable on primetime tv but is just disappointing in fully budgeted feature mode.

Awful entry. Long, talky, and severely lacking in the department of bloody, original kills. Worst of all, there's only about five minutes of Pinhead! As a general rule, if you're going to make a movie that's absolutely nothing but service to Hellraiser fans, put lots of Pinhea...( read more)d in it.

Pretty much cut and dry all around crap. I bought it just to have a full collection of Hellraiser movies.
  • September 18, 2009
The weakest film of the series, and also marked the first time where a bunch of disposable teenagers are the main characters, which is a very bad thing, a "Hellraiser" film finally succumbing into slasher film stereotypes. Even Pinhead is using butcher knives in this one, and the...( read more) twist is predictable. It's cool though to imagine Pinhead as a software developer.Ha!

I though it was a cool idea by using the intrnet to open up a new chapter of Hellraiser.Pinhead could deffinatly get to more people that way!

    Freaky....could have been better though.
