Colourful, well-characterised and loaded with even more crazy ideas than The Love Bug, this is a delightful sequel that doesn't just retread the original. The plot might be somewhat old hat - an evil developer wants to knock down an old firehouse - but it's carried off with so much energy that it's entirely forgiveable. The characters, including Herbie, are all wonderful. An absolute hoot.
I feel the original series of Herbie movies were cute and funny. The more recent remake I didn't care much for. Guess if they had a better character for Herbie than her may have made things better.
This sequal is worse than I expected, the storyline does not fill you with hope (Somehow a car saves a granny from having her house knocked down) but you know how bad it gets when they introduce The Jukebox and trams which also have souls. Avoid at all costs.
Herbie is backthis time hes living with an old lady in an old Firehouse with Living objects such as a Grandfather clock and an old trolly. Then you have Mr. Hawk who wants the land the old Firehouse is on, its up to Herbie to save the day once again. Also watch as Herbie enlists the other VW bugs in the area for a massive attack against Mr. Hawk.
if only to see how it fared than the dismal portrayal of lindsay lohan in the modern version.. she may be one of my fave actors, but that doesn't mean i won't bash her...
Loved these movies as a kid. One of those movies you would watch over and over again. Still quite good but nothing like it was when I was young. Awful acting really.
One of the greatest sequels in movie history. Herbie is in prime form if you love the love bug than you will enjoy a second helpping of Herbie love bug juice.
Herbie! Oh, how I did adore these movies!
And still today, fun for all ages (more the youngs of course^^)!
U can say it lost some of its magic, but Herbie díd changed my life in a way, especially bout cars - the sweet Beetle is still me favorite car & probably remain that way 4ever! :p
